Services

Sustainability and carbon advisory, grounded in evidence.

Six services that take an organisation or project from a measured baseline to readiness for independent review. Each produces documented outputs, states its assumptions and is clear about its limits.

01

GHG Baseline and Carbon Footprint Assessment

Measure the greenhouse gas emissions of your organisation or project using the GHG Protocol, covering Scope 1 and 2 and, where relevant, Scope 3.

We collect activity data such as fuel use, purchased electricity and process inputs, apply recognised emission factors and calculate emissions by scope. Every assumption, factor and data gap is documented so the baseline can be explained, reviewed and improved over time.

Suited to: Organisations preparing for sustainability reporting, investor or lender requests, supply chain questionnaires, or a decarbonisation plan.

What you receive

  • Emissions baseline with methodology and assumptions documented
  • Activity data register and identified data gaps
  • Recommendations to improve data quality over time

Limit: A baseline is a measurement. On its own it does not create carbon credits.

Emission scopes in a baseline

Scope 1

Direct emissions

  • On-site diesel and petrol generators
  • Boilers and furnaces
  • Company vehicles
  • Process emissions

Scope 2

Purchased energy

  • Grid electricity
  • Purchased steam, heat or cooling

Scope 3

Value chain, where relevant

  • Purchased goods and services
  • Upstream and downstream transport
  • Business travel
  • Use of sold products
Scope definitions follow the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. Examples are indicative; the boundary for each assessment is agreed and documented at the start.

02

Decarbonisation Strategy

Identify and prioritise practical emission reductions, such as efficiency, fuel switching, renewable supply and process changes, with indicative costs and trade-offs.

Starting from your baseline, we compare reduction options by cost, effort and abatement potential, and sequence them into a phased roadmap that reflects operational realities, including grid reliability and access to finance.

Suited to: Leadership teams and sustainability leads who need a realistic, costed plan rather than a headline target.

What you receive

  • Reduction options compared by cost, effort and abatement potential
  • A phased decarbonisation roadmap
  • Support with setting realistic targets

Limit: Costs and abatement figures are indicative and depend on the data and assumptions available at the time of assessment.

03

Carbon Credit Eligibility and Feasibility

Screen whether an activity could generate credits under a recognised standard, considering additionality, baselines, methodologies, permanence, leakage and host-country requirements.

Many genuine emission reductions are not eligible for carbon credits. This assessment tests a proposed activity against the questions a standard and an independent auditor will ask, so you can decide whether a crediting route is worth pursuing before committing significant cost.

Suited to: Project developers and organisations considering whether an activity could support a carbon credit project.

What you receive

  • Feasibility assessment with key risks and assumptions
  • Indicative ranges for potential volumes, clearly labelled as estimates
  • Likely costs and timelines of certification

Limit: Volume estimates are indicative ranges based on stated assumptions. They are not forecasts of issued credits, prices or revenue.

04

Carbon Credit Readiness Assessment

Assess how prepared a project is for independent validation across documentation, data, monitoring, rights to emission reductions, stakeholder engagement and safeguards.

We review the project against six readiness areas, record each gap with its priority and agree a practical action plan, so that gaps are closed before an independent validation and verification body is engaged.

Suited to: Projects that have a credible crediting route and want to understand what remains before validation.

What you receive

  • Readiness assessment across each area
  • Gap register with priorities
  • Action plan to close gaps before validation

Limit: A readiness assessment is not a validation. Only an accredited independent body can validate a project.

05

MRV and Evidence Management

Design measurement, reporting and verification processes so that monitoring data and evidence can withstand independent review.

We help define what is measured, how often, by whom and how the evidence is stored, so that monitored results can be traced from source to report during verification.

Suited to: Projects preparing a monitoring plan or strengthening data collection ahead of validation or verification.

What you receive

  • Monitoring plan and data collection procedures
  • Evidence register and quality checks
  • Audit trail design for monitored data

Limit: Verification of monitored results is carried out by an accredited independent body, not by SustainAI.

06

Project Documentation and Market Readiness Advisory

Support with preparing documentation for an independent validation and verification body, planning registry processes and preparing for conversations with buyers and financiers.

We help structure project documentation, plan the registry process for the relevant standard and prepare the evidence buyers, financiers or intermediaries are likely to request.

Suited to: Projects approaching validation, or preparing to engage the market once credits have been issued.

What you receive

  • Support preparing project documentation for submission
  • Registry process plan
  • Preparation for engaging buyers, financiers or intermediaries

Limit: SustainAI does not act as a registry, broker or buyer, and does not guarantee buyers, prices or sales.
